Very important advice. I'm still amazed at the lack of caution (and restraint) shown by so many people and particularly youngsters in their use of social media such as Facebook and Twitter.

I suspect the same people who struggle to understand how their online actions add up to a portrait of them also have little or no sense of it being the case in the real world.

In a world of people looking to exploit or beat others, a lack of caution with personal data (including feelings, statuses, pictures, casual comments) can have serious consequences. In my view, social media, is a ripe for exploitation - whether it's by a vengeful spouse or an online scammer.
